Origin: Japan.
Akami is the leanest part of the tuna fish, it is meaty and has a bold taste. Use it for sushi or sashimi, it also pairs well with rice.
- Can be kept in the freezer (-18 degrees celsius) for upto 2 weeks if unopened.
- If refrigerated (0-4 degrees celsius) use within 2 to 3 days if not opened. Once open consume immediately or within 2 days.
